coming to SoMa this week, called Sweetgreen. Write that down and get
ready to bookmark it on Yelp. This place is going to bowl your mind –
excuse the bad pun.

On
a serious note, Sweetgreen is all about locally grown seasonal foods.
Whether you order a Guacamole Greens salad bowl (an order which has a
fan club all its own) or a Curry Cauliflower bowl, you can bet that the
ingredients you devour will be prepared in-house from scratch every
morning using ingredients grown by local farmers. For you to get a taste
of the season, they have a section of the menu for seasonal bowls,
which feature the best in-season fruits and vegetables. They also have
warm bowls and salad bowls and customizable bowls, oh my! If you’re the
type of person that gets overwhelmed by options, not to fear. Rumor has
it, Sweetgreen’s cult-like following has the Kale Caesar and Rad Thai at
the top of their list. No matter what you order – best to expect great
flavors, fresh ingredients, and a behind the scenes team committed to
providing you healthier, convenient, and delicious dining.

The
overall goal? To build a healthier, locally-driven community. How are
they doing this? Not only by using locally grown ingredients, but also
by donating 100% of their opening day sales to CUESA, in support of
beginning farmers. Proceeds are for plans to establish a pop-up for
up-coming farmers at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

// Go support
Sweetgreen and your local SF bay farmers on Tuesday, October 11th! This
SoMa location can be found at 171 2nd St.
