Shop Talk: The Arrivals Make Their Arrival on Valencia St

The unisex New York spun brand has made it’s way to the refreshing west coast.

And if you’re thinking, “I knew this brand before it got big,” well you might want to post a comment about it. The Arrivals‘ products are an ACNE aesthetic and vary in price. With news that the label is opening one of it’s three pop-ups in time for the holiday season, our bank accounts are sorely going to hate us.

“It was this idea of being able to develop and provide really high quality outerwear at a reasonable price point, and at the same time, pulling some of my roots from architecture,” said co-founder Jeffrey Johnson to Hoodline.

Serving major cool in San Francisco, NYC-based design studio Bower and interior designer Lotte van Velzen selected three key tones from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection to highlight each separate location. The stores have a distinctly futuristic feel, with the clean concrete space accented by aluminum, brushed stainless steel mirrors and reflective rose gold details. Adding some elements of life to the alien environment, are volcanic lava rocks in moon-red tones and lone cacti.

Depending on the textile and fabric, will run anywhere from $295 to $1,195. Though situated on Valencia, we’re curious to see how their price point will lead amongst other retailers who sell materials at a lower cost (i.e Mission Workshop, Le Point, etc.) The Arrivals will sell items specific to San Francisco and customizes items with embroidery and monograms.
