Weekend Itinerary: Grab a ‘Google Donut’ and Visit a National Park (for Free) This Weekend

Whether you’re seeking to fill the void left by the conclusion of Stranger Things 2 or you need to drink away the annoyance of Dreamforce, we’ve got you covered with this list of cool shit to do this weekend.

90s Bar Crawl this Saturday

Why: Mourn the end of AIM the way any self-respecting 90’s kid would: with a slap-on bracelet and a Discman in hand. Participating establishments including Lush Lounge, Jackalope and Soda Popinski’s will be playing all your favorite (and even the cringeworthy) 90’s tunes. Who knows, you may even meet your future BFF and bond over your love of Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite. // 2 PM — 10 PM, McTeague’s Saloon, Tendernob, 1237 Polk Street

Google’s Pop-Up Donut Shop is serving fried bits of heaven Saturday and Sunday

Why: The early bird gets the donut this weekend as Google has built a pop-up donut shop to celebrate the launch of the new donut-sized Google Home Mini. Get there early – line access will be cut early toward closing time. Inside the pop-up, you’ll have the chance to win either a brand new Google Home Mini or donuts – one of the truest win/wins we’ve seen in awhile. // 10 AM — 5 PM, Hayes Valley, 432 Octavia Boulevard *Thanks Terence H. for the tip! Send us your insights to our tipline!

California’s National Parks are free all weekend

Why: If you’ve been putting off “me time” all year, there’s nothing like the final free admission weekend of the year to become one with nature. Several parks including Muir Woods, San Francisco Maritime Natural Historical Park and Yosemite (forreals) are waiving admission and parking fees. The mountains are calling and you must go. Here’s help planning your trip. Bring snacks. And pick up your trash, godammit. // When: All weekend, Where: Multiple national parks

AT&T Park Science Festival on the 12th

Why: Join 30,000 fellow science nerds at this free rain-or-shine event showcasing over 150 hands-on exhibits and activities from leading science and technology organizations from across the Bay Area. Meet scientists and engineers and explore topics including health & medicine, engineering, climate science and more. It’s the perfect opportunity to indulge your curiosity, and there’s bound to be something for everybody! // 10 AM — 4 PM, SoMa, AT&T Park
