Consider this your official Mother’s Day reminder. Don’t forget it!
Whether your mom is local and ready to be spoiled by a surf and turf dinner or phone-call distance away, we hope you’ll at least honor the holiday with an annual viewing of Steel Magnolias. Or you could hug bunnies and do yoga in the park. Your call.
Mama needs a drink
When: Sunday, May 13th, 11:30 A.M. – close
Where: Bay Area Tacolicious locations
Why: Strapped for cash, but still love your mama? Take her out to T-lish, aka Tacolicious so she can enjoy a drink on the house (and you can mooch off her margarita) even before noon. This is valid at their Marina, Mission, North Beach, Palo Alto and San Jose locations, so if your mom lives out in the burbs, they’ve got your back.
Bunnies & boba will complete you
When: Saturday, May 12th, 5 P.M. – 8 P.M.
Where: Berkeley Animal Rights Center
Why: Cuddle rescue bunnies and sip guilt-free on all-vegan Boba. We want to get Boba with whoever came up with this idea. Homemade tapioca pearls, plant-milks and other toppings will be served din environmentally-friendly cups and paper straws. And you may meet your animal-loving soulmate, so there’s that. // 2425 Channing Way, Suite C, admission is free.
Perfect your downward dog humble brag
When: Saturday, May 12th, 11:30 A.M.
Where: The Grove next to the Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden, Golden Gate Park
Why: Confuse all your Instagram followers this weekend with an upside-down selfie when you head to free outdoor yoga in Golden Gate Park. Yes, we’ll admit that this is a weekly occurrence, but now the weather is actually nice enough to enjoy outdoor yoga on a regular cadence. Dogs are welcome. There will be a sharing circle. What are you waiting for?
