All Roads Lead To Napa: A Guide Of How To Spend Your Day

Napa, a world of it’s own, honestly. A day in Napa region feels like you’ve stepped outside your body, you have a chipper skip in your step. The sun greets you much closer and keeps you energized through what seems to be the whole day.

When we were happily galavanting through Napa, we quickly shed our inner city skin for a somewhat posh fantasy that only comes with the territory. Below are a few of our highlights from Napa that we deemed worthy of discussing with you all today—now go out and give yourself R&R.

Where to Stay—Hotel Villagio

A home that doesn’t feel like a home away from home—the Hotel Villagio homes an interior that oozes luxury that doesn’t necessarily break the bank. For a package, you could be booking a luxury room with access to the pool & hot tub right outside your room, the continental breakfast that’s fit for a king & queen, and on-site facilities like a dedicated spa that makes Napa truly a getaway. Rest well, gang. //; 6481 Washington St, Yountville.

Where to Brunch—Domaine Chandon

You may recognize the name from the variety of bubbles being passed around at graduation parties, birthdays, celebrations of any sort really. What you may not be aware of is the Domaine Chandon’s gorgeous winery space that feels like a personal garden of Eden. In true pioneering spirit, the founders, Moët & Chandon, set out to combine French winemaking techniques, American entrepreneurship and knowledge with the beautiful sun-ripened fruit of the Golden State to create California Sparkling Wine that showcases the brightness of California terroir and the vibrancy of California grapes. Alongside the bubbles, an all-American brunch served on the premises with or without a good mimosa in hand. //; 1 California Dr, Yountville.

Where To Fly—Napa Valley Balloons

For those who love to go outside their comfort zone, flying thousands feet above the ground would be a morning of a life time. You came for the wine and loved the food but the memory you hold dearest is the morning you treated your loved ones to hot air balloon rides in Napa. A Napa Valley balloon ride, the wonderful wine country memory that all will cherish. Get key info from the pilot as he shows you the valley that stretches for miles and miles. Spoiler alert: you can see the Salesforce tower in the distance. Trust. //; 4086 Byway E, Napa.

Where To Taste—Domaine Carneros

Like a castle out of a movie, the Domaine Carneros is a daydream that actually came true. Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Claude Taittinger’s search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 1970s. In 1987 he selected a 138-acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley. Wisely selecting Eileen Crane to oversee the development of the winery and vineyards, the team created the quintessential California expression of the Taittinger style in Carneros. So when you get a chance to try their daily tasting menu, Ddink in spectacular lake and vineyard views from your private table on the terrace or in the salon. You’ll taste handcrafted sparkling and still wines, and savor local artisanal cheeses and other indulgences paired to your wines. You may browse for wine, accessories, chocolates and gifts or take a behind-the-scenes “Art of Sparkling Wine” tour. //; 1240 Duhig Rd, Napa.

Where to Lunch—Scribe Winery

One of the most beautiful open air kitchens we’ve ever seen, an afternoon at Scribe Winery noshing on artisanal in-house bread boards and over roasted hand rolled meatballs really set the mood. The staff gracefully guiding you through the menu, being thorough with every ask placed upon them. And for those who love and up-and-close experience, the staff welcomes you to come into the kitchen to see how the culinary staff prepares every dish by hand. While you’re at it, grab yourself a side dish of their handoiled olives and grab some vitamin D. //; 2100 Denmark St, Sonoma.
