According to the Bridgestone tire warranty, the tire can be replaced if there has been a fault in the tire by the manufacturer. If there was a fault seen in the tire done by the customer, the company doesn’t account for the damage and the customer will have to pay to get the tire replaced. The warranty is applicable for five years from the date of manufacturing and three years from the date of purchasing. 

More to Bridgestone tire warranty:-

  • The tire should be used on the vehicle it is indicated to. For example, the damage seen when the tire for a light vehicle is used on a heavy truck does not fall under the warranty.
  • The customer has to purchase a membership to benefit from the warranty. Other times the customer has to avail the warranty from the same shop as they purchased the tire.
  • The first tire replacement can be between three to four years for which the purchase bill will be required and not required respectively. Though a small fee will be charged.
  • After the first replacement, there will be a charge for every replacement.

Things that are not covered under the warranty policy:-

  • The warranty does not apply to the damage done to the tire due to road hazards such as puncture, stone drill, bulge, impact break, etc.
  • The warranty also does not cover the tire damage done due to improper use such as wheel spinning, for competition purposes, tire chain damage, improper inflation pressure, etc.
  • You are in charge of the damaged tire if you do not maintain it in the very first place.
  • Degradation of the tire due to any reason such as petrol, chemicals, fire, water, mounting, will not be entertained.

Different types of warranty provided by Bridgestone tires in India:-

  • The first is the Bridgestone Passenger tire Xpress Unconditional Warranty Policy- The policy does not cover OE tires. The warranty card should be claimed through online registration within 15 days of purchase. The warranty is for five years from the date of purchase.
  • The second is Bridgestone Commercial Tyre Warranty Policy- this warrant policy is applied only on bus and truck tires. The warranty period for a tire is three years but for tube/ flap it is 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Firestone Passenger Tire Warranty Policy- this policy is also called Unconditional Warranty Policy. It is applicable to brand new passenger cars and SUV tires. The unconditional policy is only for two years whereas, under Firestone warranty, the warranty is covered for five years. 
  • Unconditional Warranty Policy with Dueler- this policy is applied to the tires that fall under the Dueler series. Again this policy needs to be redeemed within 15 days of purchase. Replacement for non-manufacturer defects can be covered for three years under this policy. 
  • PSR BS Warranty Policy- this policy covers tires for passenger new cars and light trucks tires and tubes. Again just like all other warranty policies, this too is applicable for five years from the date of purchase.

90 days buy and try guarantee:

Apart from the warranty, Bridgestone has a guarantee policy for 90 days for testing their tire. According to the policy, certain points should be kept in mind. 

  • Tires from all the brands sold by an authorized dealer fall under 90 day buy and try guarantee.
  • The tire should be bought in a pair of 4 tires or more to be applicable if this policy.
  • Tires for commercial truck size do not follow this policy.
