The applicants who don’t qualify for the( higher score needed) “Advantage Credit” account will automatically be evaluated for Fingerhut‘s “Fresh Start” installment loan instead. If you’re somebody just starting or starting over, Fingerhut is an excellent option as they do seem to approve just about everyone.

Conclusion

Yes and no. Most major department stores have store credit cards that offer purchase rewards. This makes them worthwhile for those who favor those particular store brands despite the high-interest rates. And because they are easier to obtain, it is a price worth paying for a lot of people just trying to get their credit score back up to par. Studies have shown that there has been a decline over the last five years in department store sales. Making cards like Amazon and Overstock is likely to be the future of our store card experience. Because department stores tend to carry everything from clothing to car stereos, consumers rely on familiar brands for trust. Department stores are a classic “go-to” for most buyers. And one, I might add, that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon despite what studies have suggested.
