Breakfast Meatballs

Ingredients for a super juicy breakfast meatball:

  1. Sausage meat
  2. Fresh breadcrumbs
  3. Milk
  4. Mushrooms
  5. Bacon
  6. Onion and garlic
  7. Egg
  8. Salt and white pepper
  9. Cheddar cheese
  • Sausage meat: 500g of sausage meat will give a standard serving. You can easily buy sausage meat in a nearby supermarket, but if you do not want to use it, you can opt for regular ground pork.
  • Fresh breadcrumbs: 45g of breadcrumbs is equivalent to a slice of soft sandwich bread. You would have to slice and mash the bread into crumbs.
  • Milk: the milk serves as a moisturizer” for the breadcrumbs-to help soak it up 60 millimeters of milk will do the trick.
  • Mushrooms: The mushrooms should be finely diced to ensure that it shrinks on frying.
  • Bacon: you may believe that meat stacked into meat is mere repetition and boring, but NO! Bacon adds a unique dynamic to your fluffy homemade meatballs. Chop 100g of bacon into medium slices, and it is ready to do that which it does best.
  • Onion and garlic: finely diced onion and garlic go perfectly in your breakfast meatball blend. The flavor, though little cannot be overlooked.
  • Egg: Here, the egg is not for moisture but rather for bonding. They help ‘glue’ the meat, breadcrumbs, mushrooms, and cheese together giving it a spongy appearance. Just one egg is enough for the meatball to come out perfect!
  • Salt and white pepper: These are added to give your mouth (tastebuds) a spicy and tingling feeling when your meatballs arrive. A pinch of salt and half a teaspoon of white pepper is enough.
  • Cheddar cheese: two ounces of shredded cheddar cheese should be added to the mixture.
