After the procedure, you’ll be asked to

1. Rest for a couple of days. 
2. Abstain from any sexual contact.

6. Avoid lifting heavy things. 

After being discharged look out for the following

1. High fever. 
2. Itching as the wound heals. 
3. Smelly or blood-stained discharge. 
4. Being unable to urinate or experiencing a lot of pain and blood-stained urine. 
5. Abdominal pain and inflammation. 
6. Rash 
7. A sudden feeling of being unwell, a headache that won’t stop, dizziness, and fainting spells. 

Immediately go back to the hospital as these could be the signs of an infection or complications from trauma in the urethra during surgery.
