Saute the chopped onion and garlic, 1 bay leaf, 1 sprig of fresh thyme, and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Continue sauteing over low heat for about 25-30 minutes. When the onions are well softened, fry them over high heat for about 4-5 minutes. 

If you wish, you can add half a cup of red wine and continue the sautéing process. When the wine has evaporated, remove the thyme and bay leaf, and set aside the onions for soaking. Salsa 

Heat the electric grill by bringing it to medium heat. Fry half a kilo of tomatoes, 1 onion that has not been peeled but cut in the middle, 1 garlic that has not been peeled, and 1 hot pepper nicely.
