Well, it is unlikely for anyone in the world to come across someone who hates Pottery Barn and that is because it is the perfect stop shop for all your decor needs.

Pottery Barn was founded by two brothers Paul Seacon and his brother Morris in 1949 who built the franchise up to seven stores. Today, it is operated by Williams-Sonoma Pvt. Ltd. with its home in the stylish city of San Francisco. It is as of this day a successfully managed American home furnishing company spread over 197 stores in USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia in total. The company is also home to its two franchises – Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen.

Pottery Barn as it says works on four main principles:-

  • INSPIRATION for beautiful ideas.
  • QUALITY so their products last long.
  • SUSTAINABILITY because everything we get is a gift from nature.
  • SERVICE to clients and employees alike.

While Pottery Barn is doing exceptionally well to satisfy the needs of their customers worldwide, they’ve not forgotten their responsibility towards Mother Earth. It is the first major retailer to keep their imperfect items out of landfills and under a New Pottery Barn Renewed Line, hence curbing pollution and shielding the world from an awful lot of waste given the mass production it undertakes.

It has a vision of planting three million trees in three years and has already planted more than one and a half million trees already.

Their investments in trade community funds have affected more than 13000 lives.

PURCHASING AT POTTERY BARN :-

When you place an order, Pottery Barn will send you a confirmation mail with your details in it but this is not an acceptance mail. You will receive another notification when Pottery Barn confirms your order after duly checking the availability of the said products.

If any product of the order is unavailable at the time of placing the order, it will be placed on the back order list and supplied once available.

Payments:-

The payment details you enter at the time of purchase must be valid. However, payments will not be processed until you receive the acceptance mail and all payments have to be made in Australian currency. Pottery Barn offers several payment options to its large mass of customers such as credit cards, PayPal and Afterpay too.

If you’re using a credit card, a ‘consent hold’ will be placed on your credit card being used for payment at the time of placement of the order to confirm whether or not your card has enough funds for paying the required amount. When your order has been accepted and the availability of the products has been confirmed, the hold will go on to a ‘completed’ status.

PayPal

is an online payments app used for online payments. At the time of order placement, a hold will be placed to ensure that appropriate amounts of funds are available for purchasing. Post acceptance of your order by Pottery Barn, the given amount will not be available for other purchases and is labelled ‘Pending.’ The time frame for this display is uncertain and will be converted to a ‘Completed’ status only when Pottery Barn fulfils your order.

Afterpay

is an online payments platform that allows a customer to ‘BUY NOW AND PAY LATER.’ The customers can make weekly payments according to their will and no interest will be charged.

This feature has been accepted and is being used by Pottery Barn. An authorisation hold is placed for the pending purchase amount between the customer and Afterpay and all the payments are made by Afterpay. There is however no additional charge demanded by Afterpay or Pottery Barn if the time by which the order is delivered exceeds the payment schedule set by the customer on Afterpay.

Pottery Barn has been making and selling unparalleled and exceptionally beautiful furniture for almost 70 years. The wide variety of home and outdoor decor it provides, the services and it’s policies are some of the few things that make it unmatched in the Decor World.

Hence, it is only fitting to see the number of awards it has been honoured with. It was awarded Barren’s Most Sustainable Companies continuously for the last four years. It has been named among the top 10 global leaders for responsibly resourced wood by the Sustainable Furnishings Council and also among the top 10 global leaders in preferred textile by the Textile Exchange. It has truly proved to be one of the most inspiring and sustainable home decor brands in the world while still proving its tagline.
