Starbucks is the world’s biggest coffeehouse chain. It offers a vast variety of coffee and other drinks ( whole-bean coffee, caffe latte, micro-ground instant coffee, juices, espresso, Frappuccino, hot drinks, and cold drinks ) that no other brand has yet offered and hence given rise to the second wave of the culture of coffee. Starbucks has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years. Following are some points which describe the reason behind its popularity-

1. The taste and origin of coffee-

The taste of Starbucks coffee is quite different from other brands’ coffee. The coffee beans are highly roasted and the coffee is much darker and bolder than the other brand’s coffee. Once you develop its taste, it is hard to drink some other brand’s coffee. At the time Starbucks was opened in 1971, people hardly knew the difference between coffee and espresso. They did not even drink much coffee. It is through the origin of Starbucks that people get so involved in drinking coffee. Many new generations start preferring Starbucks coffee to their grandparents’ lightly brewed coffee.

2. Extra drinks-

Starbucks is not only famous for its coffee but for its extra specialty drinks also, in fact, it is seen that Starbucks is more popular because of its extra drinks. Customers loved its Caramel Latte, Frappuccino, and the seasonal Pumpkin Pie Latte. All these drinks of Starbucks are so popular and in-demand that many other brands have started introducing the same kind of drinks. Excessive roasting is sometimes criticized by many customers but this gives espresso shots a different and unique flavor that suits well with the above-mentioned sweet drinks.

Frankly speaking, Starbucks has not done so much for its promotion on a level that other brands have done and are doing currently. Starbucks launched its app in 2011 in concern for its customers’ time and comfort. You have to download the app, select the drink, and make payment by sitting in your home or office without standing in long queues. You will get notified when the order is ready for pick up. The Starbuck app gained huge success by 2016 as most of the Starbucks payment was done by the app.

6. Celebrities’ favorite-

You must have seen pictures of many big celebrities going to work or casually roaming around with a Starbucks coffee or any other beverage in hand. This shows the favoritism of Starbucks among celebrities. This also helps the brand in its promotion without paying any high-value prices to these celebrities as they do it by watching its brand value. This is the reason why Starbucks does not collaborate with celebrities like the other brands for its promotion as celebrities only have made it a symbol of status.

Starbucks has a very calm, chilled, and comfortable environment. It has a very different vibe. The color tone, soothing music, chairs, tables, and the artwork in their stores make a person feel so relaxed and comforting even if someone is visiting for the first time. A high-speed free wi-fi network is provided to the customers so that they can perform their office work without network issues along with a Starbucks cup. You can sit all day, reading books or attending meetings in such a pretty ambiance. The scent of brewed coffee is in the atmosphere and the interiors make the person visit again and again. All the branches of Starbucks in different countries provide the same environment.

8. Name on the cups-

Starbucks has provided a special service of writing the customers’ names on the cups and saying them out loud while calling the customers. They sometimes intentionally write the wrong spelling of the name which might be their marketing scheme. Overall, customers love this personalization.

Starbucks is known for its customer service. It treats each customer with so much love, and care and takes care of their wants as long as they are in the store. The staff of Starbucks got special training on how to treat the customers and make a good impression on the first meeting.
