The internet is a sea of resources. While some of the sources provide great and safe content, others are not so promising and have even the capacity to harm your personal computer. That’s why it’s extremely important to bestow trust in a reliable and efficient source to access any content on the Internet. The key to researching any online platform is to get assured that the website doesn’t have any malware and worms, which could be detected by the system’s antivirus. This article will specifically deal with how to watch the 2021 Disney Blockbuster, “Encanto” on the internet. Let us find out How to Watch Encanto?.
There are numerous online platforms available to watch streaming content within a moment’s click. OTT (Over the Top) has become a new buzzword since the broadening of the telecommunication and broadcasting channels on the internet. Nowadays a famous news channel’s lives can easily be accessed on YouTube, same goes for T.V series, a term greatly substituted with the word ‘Web Series’, which simply means the series available on the web. The crowd of the audience on the internet has increased so much that independent digital platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime have emerged to feed the ‘new audience’ the quality content they wish to watch through the comfort of their homes, with the aid of just a stable internet connection.
OTT and the COVID-19 Pandemic:
With the gruesome arrival of the Novel Coronavirus, the world faced the possibility of a new reality, where human interaction with the outside world regularly became fatal to one’s morality. Hence the prospect of visiting a theatre or Cinema on a Sunday evening dwindled as the cases rose. Cinemas and malls had to be shut down to practice social distancing. The fact that Netflix and Amazon Prime existed way before the Pandemic, proves the fact that the new digital epoch had sounded its war cry against the traditional practice of going outside to seek entertainment, but indeed the Pandemic did put a seal on the approval of the potential of the digital entertainment platforms, in changing the perspective of how a person is supposed to spend their time- through the comfort of their homes.
Where to Watch Encanto?:
Encanto is Walt Disney Home Entertainment Studious 60th animated film, falling in the genre of Fantasy and Family Drama, it was theatrically released in the USA on 24th November 2021, and due to the growing concern for the Pandemic was soon released in Disney’s official digital platform Disney+Hotstar on 24th December 2021 and was soon a major winner among the Disney audience. The movie’s album was an instant hit as well, with two of its songs ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ and ‘Surface Pressure’ being the chart-toppers. Though a family drama, Encanto eventually won the ‘Best Animated Movie’ title at the 94th Academy Awards. IMDB rates it 7.3 out of 10.
Here is a list of digital platforms where Encanto could be watched safely-
- Disney+Hotstar- the official broadcasting and online platform of Disney, Hotstar also had a tie-up with the Star Network.
- YouTube- Encanto could be rented out easily from YouTube as well at a reasonable rate.
- Google Play & Movies- Even Google holds the rights to Encanto, though Hotstar holds a major share and Hotstar subscribers can easily access many movies available on the platform.
It can be understood that not all digital entertainment platforms hold the right to stream every content which has been released online. Being a Disney movie, Disney+Hotstar holds exclusive rights to stream Encanto and worldwide members enjoy the right to surf Disney content with liberty. That’s why major digital Platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime don’t have rights to Encanto. This exclusivity can be very frustrating at times as now people have to secure membership to almost every digital platform to have access to every digital content which could be released. It is like subscribing to different channels in dish T.V. But now there has been another exclusivity going around which the country domain availability of particular content. Like the BBC drams. A very famous BBC drama called ‘Us’ which is based on the book of the same name by David Nicolles was not to be found on any of the digital platforms except BBC’s broadcasting website which cannot be accessed on any other country apart from the United Kingdom. This leads to bitter disappointment. A VPN could be used to access the content of another country’s domain but in many ways, that’s a paid service and not much for a device.
Conclusion:
Encanto being the newest Disney movie brings forth another cultural existence forward, of the Columbians, allowing its audience worldwide to get a taste of a new culture this time, it could be called broadening its horizon in terms of its setting and tradition. All the voice actors are of Spanish descent and give out the message of the magical family bond among the members of the Family Madrigals. While the plot revolves around the unfortunate member of the family, Mirabel, as despite being a Madrigal she wasn’t born with any inherent magical powers, the whole movie is her attempt to gel in with her magical family members, which quite dramatically turns into finding the reason of the impending doom of the Encanto which binds them together, as the members of the family start to lose their magical touch. The moral turns out to be a simple fact that a family is made by its members and is united with the love which every member bore for each other, it is an internal feeling, sympathy generated by the heart, rather than a magical phenomenon. The magic came for a reason and once true love and loyalty were found in the heart of every member, it achieved its purpose. What about you? Have you watched Encanto yet? If not then go ahead and pick any of the above-mentioned platforms to watch the movie, which is the hot-shot topic of discussion of every Disney Lover. Hope you found the answer How to Watch Encanto?
