UBER Rewards
Uber Rewards is a combined loyalty program of both Uber and Uber eats, introduced in November 2018. Uber users can earn points from every ride or order from Uber or Uber Eats. These points can be used later for unlocking rewards or elite statuses. Even though it’s free to register for this program, it is only possible through the Uber Eats mobile application.
Earn Points
Users will be allotted 6 months from the date of registration to collect rewards points. Each journey booked with Uber or each food order with Uber Eats will earn 1 point each. Users can use these points to unlock rewards, which they can enjoy for the next 6 months from the end of the initial point collection period. Points are only allotted to completed orders. Other than that paying a cancellation fee or paying a tip to the delivery people won’t contribute to the point collection. Purchase of Uber cash or credit also won’t be considered.
Elite Statuses
There are 4 different elite statuses in the Uber reward program which can be unlocked by spending the points collected. They are Blue, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Every member registering for the program would be having a ‘Blue’ membership and thus can start earning points by ordering and also redeem rewards by using those points. Soon after collecting 500, they will be upgraded to ‘Gold’ membership. If a user could collect, within the initial 6 months, 2500 points and 7500 points they can get ‘Platinum’ and ‘Diamond’ membership respectively. At the end of the initial 6 months whichever the membership a user is having they can continue to enjoy the benefits of that particular status for the next 6 months, without an option to upgrade.
Exclusive Membership Benefits
Every member of each membership program would be able to enjoy certain benefits ranging from free cancellation to priority support.
- BLUE :
Since every registered user is a Blue member, the only benefit they could enjoy is to collect Uber reward points. They can choose any reward by redeeming these points within 28 days.
- GOLD :
Members of this status can enjoy ‘flexible cancellation’ in Uber rides and ‘priority support’. while contacting the help center gold member would be prioritized over others and will get connected to experienced support agents.
- PLATINUM :
This program doesn’t offer any rewards in Uber Eats, yet they can enjoy ‘favorite route point boost’ and ‘ pickup at the airport’ while booking rides with Uber.
- DIAMOND :
Diamond members are offered with ‘premium rides point boost’ and ‘high rated driver’ while using Uber. Along with these, in Uber Eats, they can earn an extra reward point on every order along with the usual one point. They will also get ‘priority support’.
Rewards to Redeem
Along with the elite status benefits, Uber Rewards members can use the points they collected to redeem certain offers from the Uber rewards section. It includes certain discounts, promotions on orders, offers from Uber Eats partners, charitable donations, etc.

By using 250 points you can redeem an offer that will give a 10% off on your next order.
- 250 points:
For 250 points you can get a free coffee from the nearest Starbucks store. This is only applicable in certain Starbucks outlets.
- 500 points:
By spending 500 points you can use Apple Music for the next 4 months for free.
- 1000 points:
New subscribers of HBO Max, by spending 1000 points on Uber Rewards, can enjoy a 30-day free trial.
- 2500 points:
If you have 2500 points you can earn a free Uber Eats order by redeeming those.
Uber ONE
A new loyalty program introduced by Uber in November 2021 is ‘Uber One’. Unlike Uber Rewards, users have to pay a fee for Uber One membership. Currently, it is $99.99 per annum and $9.99 per month. As a starting offer, there is a 50% off for annual membership and under this offer $49.99 is the annual subscription fee.

While purchasing from the merchants, who are a part of this program, every $15 purchase will get a discount of 5%. Participating merchants would have the Uber One icon in their profile.
