Haircare is the most necessary thing for people to do nowadays because of the pollution and all the routine they have. People expect the best hair product and Kenra provides their customers with the same. Their products are sulfate and paraben-free.

And they are cruelty-free. Kenra confirmed that their products are cruelty-free and they do not practice animal testing on their product and its ingredients. From the product’s formulation to its finish they do not practice animal testing at any stage. They do not test on animals themselves.

Does Kenra test on the animal when required by law?

Cosmetic brands, personal care, and hair care product companies have this issue of selling their products in other countries when they do not practice animal testing on their product at any stage but the country where they are about to launch their brand and it needed animal testing by law. Some countries have this policy that they will only allow products to be sold in their country when it is animal tested like China.

So, Kenra allows animal testing in the country where it is required by the law.

However, in 2014 when Kenra was owned by Henkel, they were against animal testing even if it is required by the law. Kenra has renewed their policy and confirmed that their products are 100% cruelty-free and they don’t practice animal testing on their products while testing the ingredients of the product. Kenra does not allow any third party to do animal testing and they don’t practice it. We can say that Kenra products don’t allow anyone in the world to do animal testing on their products. They are strictly against it and confirmed that they don’t let anyone test their products even when it is required by law.

So this raised the question that Kenra products are being sold in the mainland of China.

Kenra doesn’t sell its products in the mainland of China because animal testing is required by the law there. And Kenra is committed to being a cruelty-free company.

Is Kenra vegan?

Kenra claimed to be a 100% cruelty-free company. And it doesn’t offer any vegan products to its customers. Many ingredients of hair products need animal extraction, so their products are not vegan. Kenra colour ingredients consist of animal extraction that doesn’t make it vegan friendly. They use ingredients such as keratin, hydrolyzed silk, and bee propolis. Currently, Kenra doesn’t provide a list stating their products are animal derived.

Products being vegan and cruelty-free can mean different things. Being cruelty-free means that the company and its employees don’t test animals for their products and their ingredients at any stage. From the formulation to the finishes of products, animal testing will not be allowed known as being a cruelty-free company.

Products being vegan means that ingredients that are used for making the products are not extracted from animals. Products that are not made from the extraction of animals are called vegan products. Many companies of cosmetic and personal care face this problem when it comes to being vegan because many ingredients that can only be extracted from animals are necessary. Since Kenra doesn’t include any vegan products they do not have any list of their vegan products.

If you are looking for vegan products, you can see alternative brands like Aveda, Paul Mitchel, R+Co brand that will provide vegan products.
