Keeping in regards the complaints and reviews of the customers and consumers, the TSC brought in a new policy that’s called Tractor Supply Dead Chick Policy.

TSC dead chick policy states that if the chick is sick or dead , then a refund or exchange would be offered to the customer at the discretion of the store manager. It also states that the call is preferred to be made to the store within first 48 hours of purchase. However, you are not obligated  to show the receipt for the necessary step to be taken, but it is advised to keep the receipt safe with you as issue of the refund or the exchange is according to the discretion of the given store manager and on their terms. 

Under What Condition Can You Return The Chicks

1. If there are dead chicks

Even though the company policy obviously states that any live stock that is delivered is to be delivered alive and well to the customers, there have been many instances where the chicks delivered are already dead.  In these cases steps to be taken are:

  • Ask the delivering agent to wait while you thoroughly check all the other stock delivered.
  • Call the store to make sure they understand the delivery mishap.
  • Ask for a refund or an exchange of the dead chick with a live one. 
  • Make sure to keep the receipt handy incase it is asked for during the refund process or exchange process.

2. If there are sick chicks

This is usually very easy to find out within first couple days of purchasing the chicks.

In this case follow these steps:

  • Make sure you separate the sick chicks with healthy ones.
  • Make a  call to the store and ask for a refund or exchange of sick chick with a healthy one.
  • Keep the receipt of the purchase handy incase of when it is asked.

It is however advised to not bring infected/sick/dead chick to the store as others might get infected from it.

Can You Return The Gifted Chicks?

Even though this is not a frequently asked question, it turns out to be a very important one as gifting live stock during celebrations  have come into trend more now than ever.

So, can you really return these chicks if you couldn’t refuse the gift out of love but do not wish to keep them as well?

ABSOLUTELY YES.

This might come to you as a surprise but you can return these chicks back to the store if you have the gift receipt on you. It is always advised to call the store beforehand because the return is up to the store manager’s discretion and can be denied if the condition is not found up to the mark.

  • Mostly they just ask for you to show your valid I.D in order to directly pull up your order history and account details. But, sometimes that’s not the case. 
  • Sometimes, if the return or exchange offer is generated within first 30 days of purchase then the team would help you with partial refund without the receipt.
  • Sometimes they wouldn’t ask for a receipt or the proof but directly generate a hassle free return process.

Make sure to follow all the suggested protocols by the store either on call/person to get the desired results.

What Happens If We Try To Return The Chicks After 30 Days Of Purchase?

As suggested before, it is always a great idea to keep your purchase receipt safe and handy with you for a smooth hassle free process. 

But even though the return policy applies for the first 30 days of purchase there is a chance that with valid proof you would be able to get you an either partial or full refund even after the given period.

Although, as stated before, it is always up to the discretion of the store manager to generate or reject the generated process.

What Happens When Book A Ship To Store Order But Fail To Pick It Up? 

According to the TCS policy for ship to store orders, if one fails to collect their respective orders within first 45 days of delivery to the store then the store automatically withdraws the given order and generates a refund to the account of the buyer. 

But, if one is not able to collect their order on time and informs the store about it then there is a possibility that the store is able to give few extra days out of courtesy for the customer to collect their order.

The tractor supply company dead chick  policy doesn’t only allow customers to get their money back but also builds loyalty for the brand that has been trusted by the consumers over the years.
