Trader Joe’s Hash Browns

Growing up, the only hashbrown I knew was the McDonald’s hashbrown. Every Saturday morning, I used to ask my mom to take me to McDonald’s to get a hashbrown and a McGriddle. As I grew up, I veered away from McDonald’s but my love for hash browns has remained.  Trader Joe’s hash browns give me that same feeling from back in my younger days.

Preparation

When preparing them you have two options. Either in the oven or on the stovetop.

In The Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Arrange frozen patties on an ungreased pan. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Turn after around the halfway point if you want consistent browning on both sides. You will season to taste and serve.

On The Stovetop:
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry a single layer of frozen potatoes for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Turn as needed for even heating. Drain on a paper towel or anything similar. Season to taste and serve. These hash browns due tend to come out greasy. So, a recommendation would be to pat them dry before serving them.
