Although under Breed-specific legislation, pit bulls fall into the category of bully dogs who are harmful to people. They do not consider the fact that even these hard-hearted dogs are extremely loving and patient when given a nice environment to grow in.

Here are some ways you can train your pitbull to be a loving and good dog:

A tired dog is a calm dog. Understand the need for Pitbulls to vent out their energy somewhere. They’re the type of dogs that were bred to do all kinds of things and so they need to be employed all the time to take out their frustrations.

Rewards them for their calmness. It may be hard to find a moment where your pitbull is calm, that is because you often find yourself mad at the dog for being so energetic all the time. But that’s their nature and so if you teach them gently, they’ll learn and understand gently. Give them love by petting them or giving them treats every time they’re calm. It will help them understand what is the right thing to do.

Play with them. Teach them some games like “find it” and then just let them stay busy in it. Dogs need your attention and love all the time so make sure you’re giving them that.

Enjoy their energy! They light up the environment of a sad house and so we should be very grateful to them. Imagine you had a dog with less energy who only sat, ate, and pooped? That would be the saddest thing!
