Parts of appliance which are covered under the warranty of Whirlpool

a. Refrigerators

There is a warranty of 1 year for the parts of the refrigerator. It is counter to the date of purchase. However, if the water filters are considered, they have a warranty for 30 days which is also counted from the date of purchase. After an initial year, the other refrigerator parts are sealed and uncovered individually under warranty from the second year to the fifth. b. Washers and Dryers

c. Ovens, cooktops, ranges, and microwaves

There is a warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase for most of the kitchen appliances of Whirlpool. Under this, the factories specified parts and repair labour that is related to the damaged part are bound to be covered. 

 For the other whirlpool appliances, specific instructions such as the parts and labour costs will only be covered if the machine was installed using the owner’s instructions and manual. 

d. Dishwashers

The warranty of 1 year from the day of purchase applies on the parts of the washers of Whirlpool as well. There is a four-year limited warranty on the electronic control system of Whirlpool dishwashers apart from the first year of purchase. There is also a warranty of one year, which starts after the second year.

The appliances do not come under a warranty offered by Whirlpool.

  • Whirlpool does not cover the warranty on the appliance used in non-residential, multiple-family settings, or commercial areas.

  • If the product is damaged during pick up or delivery, it does not come under warranty.

Still, if the services are needed, the first thing A person should have the proof of purchase, which would include the name of the retailer and address from where the appliance is purchased, the number of units, model, and serial number as well. The person must also describe the problem before directly calling as it would help to understand the issue specifically. 

Extended warranty plants offered by Whirlpool

After the initial warranty period, Whirlpool offers extended service plans too. Under these plans, there is an assurance of covering 100%of the cost of certified parts mentioned. The other parts are limited to 90% of the cost associated with it. There are no extra labour charges and taxes paid by the customer under the plans. The price offered by Whirlpool is a little higher than the market rate. Under credit card protection, if the buyer wishes to use the warranty with his card, there is no service charge. But when using the credit card without such an assurance, there is a little extra payment under this option. 

In case of any damage encountered while using a Whirlpool appliance with someone else. The person responsible will be held responsible in the same manner as to where they are doing it on their appliance. Even if they point out that it is someone else’s fault, they will be blamed as well and will not get any help from Whirlpool.
