If you happen to change your mind after you bought a product at David Jones, do not worry at all. David Jones has got you covered.
David Jones offers a 60-days return policy for Change Of Mind items. You can return/exchange your products within 60 days of your purchase on or after 1st August 2019. These Change of Mind restrictions do not apply to any returns made under Consumer Guarantees or as otherwise legally required. Change of mind products are limited to 30 days return policy items or Special Exception Items.
Change of Mind returns for swimwear and lingerie/underwear will be accepted only if the products are returned within a reasonable time limit and in the condition in which they were sold (e.g. the hygiene cover is still present on swimwear and tags attached).

Except for Special Exceptions items, David Jones offers a 30-day exchange or refund on the following items if you change your mind. These Change of Mind restrictions do not apply to returns made in compliance with Consumer Guarantees (see below) or as required by law.
Items purchased online or in-store from select designer footwear and accessories brands must be brought to the store with a designated boutique for inspection.
Terms and Conditions applying to Change-Of-Mind Returns:
- You should provide adequate Proof of Purchase.
- The item must be in a marketable state. The actual tags and labels should be attached, and the product should be in its initial packaging [if any]).
- The products should be almost new in condition and must be unused or unworn.
- The item should not be a Special Exception item.
- A valid identification must be presented while returning an item.
The identifications accepted at David Jones are:
i) A valid driver’s license, including a learner’s permit with a photograph.
ii) Evidence of Age card with photograph and signature under the seal, approved by the government.
iii) Blind Citizens Card with photograph (if required).
iv) Pension cards for the elderly, invalid widows, parents, and caretakers.
v) A sealed identity card from the police, government, or armed forces, containing a photograph and signature inside the seal.
Please note that David Jones has the right to refuse items returned for Change of Mind reasons to prevent fraud, misuse, or inappropriate usage of the David Jones Returns Policy. David Jones will do so if they believe you have made an excessive number of Change of Mind returns or if they have any reasonable grounds to suspect you are abusing our Change of Mind Returns Policy.
All returns, refunds, exchanges, and repair requests must be accompanied by the following proof documents:
i) Original Receipt from the Register (photocopies are not accepted).
ii) Purchase receipts (including all online purchases and Click & Collect).
iii) Return/Exchange Receipt (Original).
iv) Statement on the David Jones Storecard.
v) Statement from David Jones’ American Express Card.
vi) Statement for David Jones’ American Express Platinum Card.
Return Policies for in-store purchases:
Most things purchased in-store or online can be returned to your local shop for an exchange or refund, but you must show proof of purchase, preferably your tax invoice. Under the Refund Policy, a member of the shop staff will analyze the items and determine if a refund or exchange will be granted. If you have paid for your transaction with Membership Rewards Points or any online payment method like Paypal or Alipay in which case you will receive a David Jones Gift Card for the value of your returned items, refunds will be granted in the same form of tender.

Please fill in the item numbers and the reason for return on the packing slip that arrived with your package if any available. If your order does not include a packing slip, please produce a printed copy of your confirmation email.
Refunds will be issued for eligible items returned via mail.
Post your package:
You will be responsible for the expense and risk of returning goods purchased online or in-store by mail, including the cost of return shipping. For high-value packages, purchasing postage insurance is recommended.
