Before the download and installation process begins in Mac computers, the user ensures their computer runs on an Intel processor, have a memory of 1GB or more, the operating system is macOS version 11 (Big Sur, macOS version 10.15 (Catalina) or macOS version 10.14 (Mojave), 16-bit or more display, and has a free hard drive space of 250MB.
To download and install the following process needs to be followed.
- Customer signs in to their Spectrum account
- Go to Your Services then Internet and select Go to Security Suite
- Click download and select the operating system the computer is using and computer name
- Select download and run the download and Save
- Open the file saved on your computer
- Accept the privacy policy and the license terms after review and then Continue and Install
- Enter the computer password if prompted and then Install the software
- Restart the computer to complete installation then close after finishing installation
- Enable browsing protection, select the computer browser and install
