Wifi services are available on KLM however, only the messaging package is free for a limited time. The other packages are not easily accessible without the payment of a fee.
- Surf- This package costs separately for European and International flights. The standard cost is EUR 8 and with it, you can surf the internet, send e-mails and text messages and also receive them. On International flights, they cost more for a full-flight access to surf. Streaming with a surf package is not advised.
- Streaming- European flight stream package costs EUR 12 while the International flight package costs EUR 30 for the entire flight. Both allow you to surf the internet, stream music, video, or audio, and send or receive media files.

How do I access KLM Wifi?
KLM makes its internet connections available through Viasat’s European satellite. They provide and maintain the necessary technology needed in accessing the internet while in flight.
The Wifi can be accessed as soon as the person is seated on the flight or after take-off. All you need to do is-
1. Make sure your device is on airplane mode
2. Connect to the KLM Wifi network that pops up
3. Take the steps they show to access it.
Once your device is connected, a portal will appear on your screen which would enable you to access the free messaging or upgrade to a surf or stream package.

The average speed of KLM wifi is about 930kbps with an average uploading speed of about 2.5mbps. It is not the fastest wifi out there but it can get you the entertainment you want while on-flight.
