Is The Demon Slayer On Hulu?

What is Hulu anyway?

Did you know that Hulu isn’t just one of your go-to places for classic TV shows and movies like The Office, Seinfeld, and Taxi Driver (among many others)? Did you also know that Demon Slayer is on Hulu?! Okay, so I made up those last two bits to prove a point. More than traditional television or films, Hulu provides users with a library of animated TV shows. Demon Slayer may be an anime show from Japan, but it’s available on Hulu—and it features plenty of demon-slaying action! So if demon-slaying is your kind of thing, read on for some more information about Demon Slayer!

Spoiler Alert: It’s tons of demon-slaying action! But before we get into Demon Slayer itself, let’s cover what you should expect to find on Hulu—but first, check out our What is Hulu anyway? section above. What makes Hulu unique is its wide range of titles; in addition to its growing library of original content and licensed broadcast network series (think CBS All Access), there are entire libraries devoted to reality TV, documentaries and indie films—not to mention good ol’ comedy channels! In other words, if it’s a TV show or movie that could be viewed at home with your family, chances are you can watch it on Hulu! Now that we’ve covered how Hulu operates, let’s move on to Demon Slayer!

Watch Demon Slayer on Hulu

Demon Slayer’s animation is no masterpiece—the show seems to be using fairly basic 2D models with only a bit of colouring—but it has its moments. The world, filled with glowing magical runes and other visual cues that provide some eye candy when things get heated up, is pretty well realized for a show like Demon Slayer. It’s just another reminder that animated TV shows don’t need to live or die by their visuals.

If you can tell a compelling story with animation that doesn’t cost tens of millions per episode, then you’re doing something right. Demon Slayer isn’t perfect, but if you want a show that gives you everything else while staying light on CGI glitz and glamour, it might be worth checking out. As for whether or not Demon-Slaying is currently streaming on Hulu, well. it all depends on what you mean by demon-slaying.

Most demon-slaying episodes of Demon Slayer do indeed stream there—but to make things confusing, so do many other shows whose titles just happen to include those three words as well. While it may not matter much for your weekend plans, we know how these things can burn in your brain until they get sorted out. So let’s try and sort them out: first off, is Demon Slayer a TV show or an anime? The answer is both—and neither! It’s an American animated series made by Japanese studio Gonzo (Afro Samurai) based on a Korean webcomic called Yongbi the Invincible.

Story Plot of Demon Slayer

Hailing from a martial arts master who trained him as a child, Keita Amano (played by Nobuhiko Okamoto) can control his inner demon by using an evil-repelling bracelet. But when Keita goes to high school, he has to deal with both himself and the demons around him—because, according to urban legend, one out of every 1,000 students in his high school is possessed by a demon. To combat these malevolent spirits, Keita joins up with Mizuki Shibata (voiced by Eri Kitamura), a priestess whose mother was killed by demons when she was just a child. The story that I want to deliver is how you can live your life positively even if you are possessed by a demon inside of you, director Toshiki Hirano told Comic Natalie. That would probably be my message to young people because they should not think ‘Oh no! I’m possessed’; instead they should say ‘This is my power!’

Hirano said at Kyoto Animation’s Anime Expo panel earlier today that his series is inspired by his own experiences of being bullied during junior high school. The original manga run in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from 2001 to 2007 and had five volumes. The series was compiled into a total of 13 volumes and had 36 million copies in print as of March last year. The remake will premiere in Japan on October 6 after several delays. Hiroyuki Yoshino (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-Kun, Symphogear) is credited with creating the concept for the new season. In addition, Tensai Okamura (Darker than Black, Blue Exorcist) directed these six new episodes at studio Kinema Citrus (A Silent Voice). Kokoro Kikuchi adapted Natsumi Eguchi’s original character designs for animation and Tatsuya Katou (Free!, Love Live! Sunshine!!) scored every episode.

Hulu is a TV streaming service that offers original content like The Handmaid’s Tale, but you might be looking for their animated TV show called The Dragon Prince. Don’t fret! You can still get it. To watch The Dragon Prince, follow these simple steps: Sign up for Hulu if you haven’t already. If you have, then head over to your account and select Add-ons from their main menu. Next, search for Dragon Prince in its add-on section

Conclusion

Don’t feel left out. If you’re looking for the Demon Slayer on Hulu, don’t worry. Hulu may not be carrying the anime show, but the service does stream a few of the TV series that inspired it—in other words, there are plenty of options for you on Hulu. The anime version of The Demon Slayer might not be available on Hulu right now but you can buy for 7$ to 10$ subscriptions for other sites like Netflix, etc. that have Demon Slayer on their List.
