How To Rent A Wheelchair Handicap Cart At Disney?
The Manual wheelchair Handicap Cart and the Electric Conveyance Vehicle are two different types of wheelchairs, and each of these wheelchairs costs differently per day. For the manual wheelchair, the price is $15 while the electric conveyance vehicle costs $70. At Disney, these carts are always on rental for all guests per day at the four theme parks, and you get a $20.00 returned deposit when you return the ECV. Although rental from other vendors outside is allowed, Disney gives a percentage of discount and a refundable amount. However, wheelchairs can be rented at each theme park for $12 daily.
Disney Wheelchair Handicap Carts Policy
Due to the sites and the long walking distance at Disney, guests are allowed to use their wheelchairs. This means that guests can come along with their customized or rented wheelchair or scooter from anywhere outside Disney. The policy is not strictly adhering to renting wheelchair handicap carts only at the Disney sites. The purpose of this flexibility is to ensure maximum comfort even for those with physical disability challenges who already have been assigned a personal wheelchair by the hospital and also those without any physical challenge at all, this means it is for the total comfort of all and sundry.
