Terms And Conditions

1. This scheme applies only to students over the age of 12 traveling on the InterGlobe Aviation Limited (“IndiGo”) domestic network while choosing a student discount at www.goindigo.in.  Inventory under student discount is limited and the bookings are subject to availability.
2.  Bookings under student discount must be made at least seven (7) days before the travel date
3. The student discount applies to both one-way and round-trip bookings.
4. For bookings made under the scheme, students are entitled to :

1.  Upto six percent (6%) discount on the basic fare of ticket booking
2.  Total baggage allowance of 10 kg in addition to the applicable standard baggage allowance

5. Customers are required to pay all charges and taxes applicable to the discounted price of the booking. Discounts may not extend to other members of the PNR other than eligible students.
6. Students eligible to book an IndiGo flight under student discount must require present their valid school/university ID card upon check-in at the airport. If the student fails to provide his/her ID, the benefit will not extend to the client and the client shall pay IndiGo the discounted value immediately. Online check-in is allowed for reservations made under student discount.
7. Tickets booked under student discount are not transferable. Changes to the name on the booking are not allowed.
8. IndiGo reserves the right to modify or cancel the discount without any prior intimation. 
9. The student Discount scheme will be governed by and construed by the laws of India and all matters relating to the scheme will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.

Do student discounts on IndiGo flights apply to Indian students with American University IDs?

Yes, it’s valid, but not sure if only ID works, because usually, a US university ID will just have a name and a photo, and not complete information such as date of birth, address, and other information which is usually present on the Indian University ID card. Hence the i20 with ID works for sure as to when booking a ticket it asks for the student ID number which is on the ID and the i20 has all the other details to verify it so they won’t mind or cancel your student login details.
