Walmart Visa Gift Cards do expire, but the funds don’t. If your Walmart Visa Gift Card expires but there are still funds left over, you may access them by calling 1-866-633-9096. You could also go to www.walmartgift.com. You are entitled to a replacement card that is at no cost to you. After the card has expired, you begin to be charged a monthly maintenance fee. This is a fee of 94 cents that is charged monthly until you either make a purchase or run out of funds. 

Specialty Gift Cards At Walmart

Specialty Gift Cards are gift cards from Walmart that are a type of gift card from Walmart that comes from a third-party company. By buying a specialty gift card, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set by the third-party retailer, not the terms and conditions set forth by Walmart. Some third-party gift cards available at Walmart are Subway gift cards, Itunes gift cards, and Brinker International Gift Cards. Brinker International is the company that owns Chili’s and other popular restaurants. 

Limitations Of Walmart Gift Cards

Walmart Gift Cards can be gifted but are not allowed to be used for anything promotional. What is considered promotional includes marketing and advertising in any way including but not limited to: internet advertisements, radio broadcasts, email, telemarketing, etc. If you have numerous Walmart Gift Cards and want to either consolidate them to make or buy a new card with the combined balances, you will not be able to. Walmart does not permit the consolidation of multiple gift cards for either purpose. Walmart Gift Cards are available for use in-store or online. Walmart Gift Cards are non-returnable and non-refundable. Walmart Gift Cards can be used at Sam’s Club or any Walmart. 

Limitations Of Walmart Visa Gift Cards

You may use your Walmart Visa Gift Card at a gas station only if you go inside, you may not pay at the pump with a Walmart Visa Gift Card. Walmart Visa Gift Cards do have a PIN number, but they may not be used to withdraw cash from any ATM. The card also can not be used for any type of recurring billing. If you need to return something you bought with your Walmart Visa Gift Card, all you have to do is return it back to where you bought the item and the balance will be added back to your Walmart Visa Gift Card.

Limitations Of Specialty Gift Cards At Walmart

ITunes Gift Cards-

You must have an Itunes Account to redeem an Itunes Gift Card purchased at Walmart. You are not allowed to exchange, return, or refund an Itunes Gift Card. The card may not be used for purchasing Walmart merchandise. You are responsible for not losing the card, Apple will not take responsibility for the last card and will not replace it.

Subway Gift Cards-

Subway Gift Cards purchased at Walmart may be used at participating Subway locations. You can check this list at www.mysubwaycard.com. A Subway Gift Card purchased at Walmart never expires. 

Regal Gift Cards-

Regal Gift Cards purchased at Walmart are worth 25 dollars and may be used in replace of cash at any Regal theater. If the card is lost you may be able to get it replaced by providing proof of purchase as well as verifying your identity. 

Brinker International Gift Cards-

A Brinker International Gift Card purchased at Walmart has no service fees. If you lose this card, Brinker International will not replace it. You may check your balance by calling 1-888-532-6092.

Conclusion

Walmart Gift Cards never expire. This lack of expiration date is not limited to Specialty Gift Cards, as they also do not expire. Walmart Visa Gift Cards do expire. However, the funds on Walmart Visa Gift Cards that have expired can be recovered and loaded onto a new card.
