With a defense consisting of seven Gold Glove winners, you’ll want to catch at least one of these games before the season’s over. But where to watch? let’s find out How to Watch a St. Louis Cardinals Game?

How to Watch a St. Louis Cardinals Game?

There are several methods and options for Cardinals fans to use to watch. Some options only work for those who are in the Midwest, and others are only available for those outside of it. Below, we will go over all the options available.

Watch a St. Louis Cardinals Game at :-

1.Bally Sports Midwest

For fans living in the Midwest, Bally Sports Midwest is the best option to make sure you get almost all home and away games. If you have cable and the necessary package, you will have access to Bally Sports Midwest. Please check with your cable package to make sure its available, and also for the channel numbers.

If you have an Amazon Fire Stick, Roku, Apple TV, or any other product that allows you to download apps, you can download the Bally Sports Midwest app. Once it’s downloaded, you can log into your TV provider and access the games that way. Be aware that this only works if you have Bally Sports Midwest in your cable package. If you don’t, then you will be unable to access the games.

Bally announced late last year that they would be rolling out a subscription-based program for their services, but it’s unclear when they will implement it. For now, using your TV provider is the best option.

2. MLB.TV to Watch a St. Louis Cardinals Game

This is the best option for fans outside of the Midwest. The following teams are blacked out on MLB.TV for users within the Midwest: St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Black Sox, Minnesota Twins, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Fans will not get any access to these games, even when the team is away.

MLB.TV is great for fans outside of the blackout restrictions. To see if you’re in the blackout market, you can head over to mlb.com/live-stream-games/subscribe. After you scroll to the bottom, you can enter your area code, and the site will show you the list of teams that are restricted.

However, this option does come with some faults. If you’re in a restricted area, you won’t have access to Cardinals games when they play in your area. For instance, if you live in the San Francisco area, all Cardinals games played against the Giants and Athletics will be blacked out.

Furthermore, when the Giants or Athletics play at Busch Stadium, those games will be blacked out. While this option does come with some setbacks, if you pair it with some of the options below, you should be able to get every game.

3. ESPN+ to Watch a St. Louis Cardinals Game

Occasionally, games are exclusively on ESPN+. If the game is on ESPN+, you may not be able to view it on Bally or MLB.TV. It can be hard to tell when a game is going to be on ESPN+, as there is usually little to no warning. Unless you watch every single game, you may not know when a game will be on ESPN+ instead of your usual method.

If the game isn’t on Bally or MLB.TV, check ESPN+. Unless it’s a Friday, in which one should use the next method.

4. AppleTV

Some, but not all, Friday night games are on AppleTV, free to view without an account or subscription. You simply just need to download the app on your phone, Fire Stick (or similar device), and you’ll be able to watch the game for free.

As stated earlier, not all Friday night games are on AppleTV. If you’re using Bally or MLB.TV and you don’t see a Cardinals game on there and it’s a Friday night, it’s on AppleTV.

5. YouTube to Watch a St. Louis Cardinals Game

On their YouTube channel, the MLB will host a free game of the day. This doesn’t affect it’s viewability on MLB.TV or Bally Sports Midwest, you would simply be able to view it for free that day.

The free game of the day will always be on their YouTube channel, or you can view it on MLB.TV. No subscription is required to view it on MLB.TV. It doesn’t hurt to check every day to see which game is free.

Conclusion

With five available options, there should be no reason that a fan misses a game. A lot of these options can be mixed and matched with others; what suits one person may not suit another. Perhaps you’re okay with missing some games, so then the option of MLB.TV or Bally works best.

Or, you’re only really interested in seeing games when you can see them for free; then paying attention to when they’re on AppleTV or on YouTube is best for you. But at least now you know the ways in which you can view them.
