Pet Policy For The MGM Grand

At The MGM Grand, we are committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience. That includes taking care of your furry friends! We have a pet policy that is simple and easy to follow. Here are the basics:

  • We allow dogs and cats in designated guest rooms only (with prior approval from security). Extended trips or stays exceeding 21 days require pre-approval.
  • When permitted into the hotel via DNA/microchip scan at the time of check-in, all dogs must be properly trained and hygienic (training included during stay). Failure to properly dispose of animal waste, whether inside or outside, may result in the cancellation or revision of your reservation without payment.
  • Pets are not allowed to eat any food on the site, except for authorized dog biscuits supplied by Marrakech Liquor Corner outside the elevators for $1 per handful (limit one bag per visit). Note: Some breed, size, and weight limits may apply, which will be indicated in the confirmation email message.

What You Need To Know

At the front desk, you can adopt an MGM Grand pet from a range of breeds, including Shiba Inus, Boston Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terrier hybrids, and more. Before adopting your new companion, you may make an appointment to meet them in person.

The minimum age for adoptions is 6 months old, however, older puppies and kittens are placed with approved families on a case-by-case basis depending on their behavior and compatibility with other animals in the home.

Before being available for adoption, all MGM Grand canines must go through the method of inspection including rabies and other dog disease vaccines, as well as being spayed or neutered.

Please do not hesitate to contact our staff at any time if you have any questions or concerns concerning your adopted animal during their lifetime (or even beyond). We would love nothing more than to help you get your furry buddy adjusted into their new home smoothly.

How To Get MGM Grand Pet Policy

If you own a pet at MGM Grand Las Vegas, there are several steps that you need to take to get the hotel’s pet policy.

  • The first step is to schedule an appointment with Guest Relations and provide them with your name, address, phone number, animal type, age, vaccination records for humans and animals (if applicable), proof of current rabies shot if your pet is registered as required by Nevada law, and a signed waiver.
  • Then, while your pets are still leashed or confined within a designated cage/pet carrier/box, bring them inside the guest room. After that, you’ll be issued an access card, which you may use at check-in and throughout your stay at the hotel.
  • Please remember that only fully trained assistance animals are permitted on the premises; other animals, save those explicitly stated above, are not permitted to remain indoors or within view at any time.
  • Pets must also remain on their owner’s side of any barrier separating guests from lobby areas such as patios etc.

Conclusion

MGM Grand is introducing a new pet policy that restricts the number of pets allowed in each room. While this might not be the best news for those who are dog lovers, other hotels will likely follow suit. Guests are only allowed one animal per room, and they must keep it confined to their room at all times.
