Book reading is loved by many, and a lot of us women love good women empowerment. Books can influence us. Women empowerment has been needed throughout generations, and we are getting our rights now. She persisted is a book series written by Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Hilary Clinton. It is filled with women’s empowerment. So it is a book that you should look into.

If you look back in history, women were underestimated when it came to the world of Science. Did you know that Albert Einstein’s wife also helped in his research, but she was not mentioned? This book introduces female scientists who were told no regarding science work. But those women did not give in or did they give up. They used their critical thinking and smarts to work on their scientific work and did not give up. I will list some of the women mentioned in the book: Greta Thunberg, Florence Nightingale, Zaha Hadid, Mari Copney, Grace Hopper and Temple Grandin. 

3. She Persisted in Sports:

This book is for women who have been told that women cannot play sports. This book is for the ones that are told that women are weak. Female athletes have had setbacks in their challenges. They have been underestimated and we know what happened to them regarding sports in the past. In this book, Chelsea Clinton mentions the women who have had t keep on going when it came to sports. Women have been made fun of when it comes to the world of sports, but slowly and slowly we are being appreciated for our efforts. Here is the list of some of the women that are mentioned in the book: Simone Biles, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Jean Driscoll, Ibtihaj Muhammad and Wilma Rudolph. 

4. She Persisted: Harriet Tubman:

You may know Harriet or you may not know her. Well, now you are about to find out. She was a woman who existed during the time of slavery that took place in America. She was a social activist. She escaped slavery and not only had the strength to do that, but she also helped seventy other people who were slaves escape too. This book is about her. It is about her persistence. She was an amazing conductor of the Underground Railroad. You should look at her story and learn about her perseverance. 

5. She Persisted: Helen Keller:

Hellen Keller is a famous woman. You may have learnt about her when you were I n school. Or maybe you do not know her. after an illness that she faced in her childhood, Helen lost her ability to see and hear. But that did not stop her. She persisted in learning how to read and also how to write. If you know she was the first individual with this kind of condition to graduate from college? She would even write articles and not only that but books too and she would speak in public. So this book talks about her and how she persisted against the odds. She is an inspiration for those out there who have any problems with their body, to get up and continue to work and never give up. Your challenges do not define you, how you respond to them does.
