Netflix can be purchased individually as a standalone subscription that is independent of Amazon Prime. You can follow the below steps to access the official Netflix website and continue further to purchase a new Netflix account.
- Google Netflix and click the first link.
- Or visit https://www.netflix.com/
- Click on Sign Up for new account
- Now fill in the details and follow the on-screen steps for purchasing a plan
- If you have a Netflix account login with the credentials

It starts from the Basic plan of $9.99 per month to Premium plan of $19.99 per month where the basic plan provides you Standard Definition quality and premium plan offers you with High Definition and 4K Ultra High-Definition quality for your screens. Netflix, however, offers a variety of offers throughout the year.
What does Amazon Prime include if not Netflix?
Amazon Prime includes a lot of featural products for all your entertainment needs like videos, movies, television and web series, OTT, music, e-book etc. The names of the aforementioned products are Amazon Prime Video (for OTT, Movies, and series), Amazon Prime Mini TV (for short videos and series), Amazon Prime Music, Amazon Prime Reading (for unlimited online reading) respectively. Amazon Prime also provides you with Prime delivery (fast delivery) and discounts (includes special before-non-prime-members offers too) for your shopping needs that are done on Amazon.com
Amazon Prime subscription is one of the most used subscriptions among customers for the kind of features it provides.
Will Amazon Prime include Netflix Subscription in future?
No, probably not. It is very unlikely that Amazon Prime subscription will include a Netflix account subscription anytime in future because Amazon Prime has its own Amazon Prime Video which is already a popular OTT platform that directly competes with Netflix. Amazon Prime Video holds a lot of “prime video exclusive” releases. Netflix on the other hand offers its individual subscription that is leading the OTT industry with its own range of movies and series. It is therefore of no sense for Amazon Prime to offer the subscription of a competing company. However, if someday in future, the two companies collaborate to come up with a bundle offer or something that becomes a partnership, then there is a brief possibility that Amazon Prime can include a Netflix subscription too.
Why doesn’t Amazon Prime include Netflix?
Amazon Prime doesn’t include Netflix because Amazon has its own video streaming platform called Amazon Prime Video. Prime video is an offering under Amazon Prime subscription that gives users access to a big collection of movies and series. Prime Video is a leading streaming platform that has produced many exclusive movies and web series which were an instant hit worldwide. Much like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video offers content in multiple languages. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are competitors in the market of OTT services and hence it is not a great idea for Amazon Prime to include both the subscriptions.
Moreover, to include Netflix with it will only result in an increase of pricings which might be a bad idea among customers.
Conclusion
Amazon Prime doesn’t include Netflix and it most probably never will. The two subscriptions stand individually to their own planning schemes that offer different features based on the plan pricing. Amazon Prime will include Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Delivery, Prime Reading under its subscription but not Netflix.
