Air frying has earned the label of being a healthy way to cook just about cooking anything, popcorn included. Air frying popularity has been burgeoning in recent years, and with good reason.

It is quick and convenient, and virtually anything can be air-fried if done with care. You can choose to air fry popcorn with or without oil.

4) With Oil:

For air frying with oil, toss in a serving size of popcorn kernels along with a quarter teaspoon of any air fryer-safe oil. Options are olive, avocado or even coconut oil. Ensure that you have preheated the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Once done, pop in the kernels for about 7-8 minutes.

5) Oil-Free:

Make use of some tinfoil in the shape of a bowl. Next, to an air fryer that has been preheated to about 400 degrees F, put in the popcorn kernels and let it cook for about 7-8 minutes.

6) Microwave:

Microwaving popcorn is the most popular way of having your favourite popcorn ready to go in a matter of minutes, and it is a tried and tested method.

It can be done in one of two ways:

  1. With a Paper Bag: Being by placing the bag of popcorn kernels seasoned with oil/butter or any other ingredients you choose in the microwave. Let it run for about 2-4 minutes, and take it once the popping has stopped. We don’t wish for any unpopped kernels, do we?

2. With a Glass Bowl: Alternatively, you can place your serving size of kernels in a glass bowl with oil/butter alongside seasonings of your choice.

Microwaving popcorn this way will take a minute or two longer to get ready – ideally 3-5 minutes. Remember to place a ceramic plate over the bowl. When it’s done, remove and enjoy. Bon Appetit!

Who Makes Trader Joe’s Popcorn?

As you walk around exploring Trader Joe’s crowded oil picking up some lavash and a tub of hummus to go with it, you may have wondered where your favourite store source its self-branded products from. While Trader Joe’s chooses to remain as air-tight on the matter as its bags of tortilla chips, most of its branded products, including its popcorn, are made by the same big-name labels you would find at competing supermarkets. Trader Joe’s routinely enters into agreements with other brands that allow it to sell products under its own brand name.
