There may be a variety of reasons why the service is unavailable; however the following are some of the most significant ones:

  • Apple ID and iPhone have different User Information: If the user has different information on the Apple ID which is on Apple website that is different from the data on your iPhone, then this difference may cause Apple Pay authentication failure, which may result in payment failure.
  • VPN or Ad blocker running in background: If the VPN or Ad blocker is running in the background of your iPhone’s then this may interfere in your server-client communication of Apple Pay while making payments, and then it may result in the failure of the payment.
  • Data Restrictions: Apple Pay might not be working while making purchases if the net or cellular data of your iPhone’s are turned off. This may limit Apple Pay’s permission to connect its servers.
  • Invalid iPhone Area Options: If the location in your iPhone settings is configured to an area where the Apple Pay is not supported, then it can cause a failure while making payments through the Apple Pay.

Try a different server

The failure of payments caused by the Apple Pay service issue may be the consequence of a network restriction that forbids the usage of unknown servers. For instance, switching networks may be the solution if the network at your business or just about any location is preventing access to the server that supports Apple Pay.

  1. Disconnect your iPhone from the cellular data or net it is now connected to, which prevents users from using Apple Pay, and try to connect to a different network that allows users to use Apple Pay.

  2. Switch on Apple Wallet, and then restart the troublesome Apply Pay procedure to see if the issue of payment failure is resolved or not.

Turn of VPN running in background

Apply Pay requires the geographical address of the iPhone user to complete the payment procedure, and if the VPN is running in the background of your iPhone things might not work out properly and Apple Pay can create an issue, by disabling the iPhone’s VPN can resolve the problem and help to complete the procedure of payment.
